Phandalin is a rather small but homely town located near the Sword Mountains, in the Southern part of Phandelver.

History[]

Phandalin was once a bustling mining town, back when Wave Echo cave was used. Since the location of the cave was lost to time, however, the town has fallen into obscurity, and is currently ruled by the Redbrand mercenaries, with townmaster Harbin Wester used as a puppet by the bandits.

Lately, however, Phandalin has seen some more life. Due to efforts by adventurers to rid Phandelver of bandits, coin has been flowing back into the pockets of its inhabitants, and Phandalin has finally seen some action.
